Despite the depth of their current affection, Scarlett Johansson admitted that had she encountered Colin Jost during their high school years, his haircut alone would have deterred her from taking a second look at him.
During her appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, the actress playfully teased Jost’s high school fashion sense, which was brought up by Drew Barrymore after the Saturday Night Live star shared an old headshot of himself on “Weekend Update.”
Scarlett Johansson Would’ve Never Dated Colin Jost In Highschool
In a light-hearted tone, Scarlett Johansson replied with a chuckle. Prompted about the possibility of having a crush on Jost during high school, the Black Widow star responded bluntly, “I don’t think so.” Scarlett Johansson shared that her brothers sported the same haircut throughout the nineties, leading her to comment, puzzled, on the decision to consider such a style as fashionable. She expressed her reluctance, wondering which hairdresser decided to experiment with that particular cut.
Johansson told Barrymore (via YouTube):
“Firstly, my brother had that same haircut throughout the nineties…both of my brothers, and I just can’t. There’s no way. I mean, who decided on that cut as a stylish thing? What hairdresser was like ‘I’ll try this.'”
Barrymore proceeded to mention a photo from December 2019, featuring Johansson hosting SNL for the sixth time, where she affectionately referred to Jost as the “love of my life” in her monologue. The picture captured Jost’s warm smile directed at his fiancée, surrounded by the show’s cast at the conclusion of the episode.
Johansson and Jost were in a relationship for two years before their engagement in May 2019. They tied the knot the subsequent year in October 2020, in an intimate ceremony at the actress’s Palisades, New York residence during the pandemic. Their first child, a son named Cosmo, was born in August 2021. Additionally, Johansson is the mother of Rose Dorothy from her previous marriage to Romain Dauriac.
Scarlett Johansson Was Delighted To Kiss Chris Evans
Despite persistent dating speculations, the Marvel stars have maintained a strong platonic bond for almost two decades. Scarlett Johansson and Chris Evans have been friends since before their superhero debuts, first meeting during the filming of the movie The Perfect Score. Their enduring friendship led Johansson to express her comfort by kissing Evans, describing any opportunity to be near the Knives Out star as “delightful.”
Johansson told Access Hollywood:
“Any excuse to get close to Chris Evans is delightful… At this point, we’re old and jaded, so it’s like, ‘Bring him on!’ No big deal. Pop in the Tic-Tacs. Get the cameras rolling.”
Similarly, Evans also expressed ease in kissing the Black Widow star, playfully commenting that it was “not a bad day at work.”
