Ever since he was cast as the motormouth mercenary Deadpool from the pages of Marvel Comics, Ryan Reynolds has been on a roll with showcasing his abilities in comedy and breaking the fourth wall at every possible chance he can get. Thus, his Marvel character has kind of become the main attraction to see possible absurdities in Disney’s entertainment business.
And not just the chances he can be lucky to get, the star is also actively trying to get Disney and Marvel Studios to make Deadpool crossovers happen. In the past, he talked about how he had an idea to create a short film with both the companies featuring his iconic character as well as the hunter who shot Bambi’s mother in the 1942 Disney film
Ryan Reynolds Had the Idea of a Deadpool and Bambi Crossover Short Film
There are a lot of wacky ideas that always roll around in the entertainment business, and film crossovers happen to be one such form of expression. Among them, the latest in this category has been delivered by Ryan Reynolds with his last Comedy/Action film Free Guy, where we saw characters from different franchises coming together or being mentioned.
But this wasn’t the first idea that the star had with crossovers. This was just the one in the list of possibilities that became a reality.

In a past interview with IGN, the Green Lantern star opened up about wanting to do a crossover with his iconic character of Deadpool and another character created by Disney. The other character in question was none other than the evil hunter who shot Bambi’s mom in Disney’s animated film Bambi. Sadly, the idea was shot down by the executives.
In the proposed idea, Deadpool would be interrogating the hunter in the film, trying to figure out how to become the most hated character in Disney’s history. He said:
“I wanted to do a short film of Deadpool interrogating the hunter who killed Bambi’s mom. But the whole gist of it is that Deadpool is actually just a huge fan. He’s not interrogating — he just wants to know how he could be the most loathed Disney character in the history of Disney… and of course, Disney was like, ‘well, I don’t think that’s ever going to happen.’”
This could’ve proven to be a truly traumatizing idea that could have only come to the mind of the star who has played the character of Deadpool for so long.
