With Bruce Willis, Demi Moore gave birth to three daughters: Rumer, Scout Willis, and Tallulah Willis, who have become beautiful ladies now. Unfortunately, that couldn’t keep their relationship intact.

The Die Hard star and G.I. Jane actress split their ways in 2000. While the couple divorced after 13 years of marriage, they’ve had a friendly relationship as co-parents to their now-not-so-little girls.

The entire family even lived together during COVID lockdowns with Willis, his wife, Emma Heming Willis, and their two kids. So, life is a bowl of cherries for the actress these days.

Yet, there was a time when Moore was going through the worst nightmare because her daughters broke all contact with her. Not being able to contact her kids made her give up on life.

When Demi Moore‘s daughter was asked why she hadn’t talked to her mom for three years, she said she was scared and felt unsafe around her.

“It was like the sun went down and, like, a monster came.”

During a Red Table Talk with the Smith family, Moore’s kids revealed what it was like to be estranged from their mother. Moore’s eldest daughter, Rumer, said that she kept open communication with her mother, whereas Tallulah and Scout stopped talking to her for three years. Rumer continued:

“Scout and Tallulah had very different experiences than I had when we stopped talking to my mom. They didn’t speak to her for three years.”

Her daughters said that Moore wasn’t the mom they had grown up with because they felt abandoned by the actress during her marriage to Ashton Kutcher. Moore’s daughters felt she focused more on him than her relationship with them.

Her daughter also shared that when Moore wanted to have another baby, and it wasn’t happening (and when there were so many other things to focus on), they felt “Oh, well, we’re not enough.’”

Moore said she wanted to give up on her life when her kids broke contact with her.

“I felt so lost,” she revealed in her memoir, Inside Out. “I would wake up in the morning and think, ‘I don’t know what to do. How do I get through this day?‘ I was in so much pain, physically as well as emotionally, I could barely function.”

She said, “I felt villainized by my family.” And that’s why she was mad that her girls weren’t showing her compassion, and even Bruce Willis refused to intercede during the situation.

An unknown source at the time revealed:

“Demi is being very needy and the girls are tired of it. They want a mother not a little sister.”

Demi Moore has undoubtedly put her daughters in the same position her mom had done to her. Moore did not have a great childhood because her mother and father both battled alcoholism. She was only 12 when her mother first attempted suicide.

Then, the Ghost star had to go through three of the worst divorces of her life; she even miscarried at six months when she was 42. But more than that, the actress started to fear her own shadow when her daughters stopped talking to her.

Now, fortunately, Moore and her three daughters have repaired their relationship and spent quarantine with her ex-husband, Bruce Willis. What’s more? — Together, they have family game nights, painting sessions, and even pajama parties.
