In Ben Affleck’s Batman, there were some things that the age-old voice of Batman, Kevin Conroy, found very disturbing. No doubt the real fans of Batman’s idealism were seriously disappointed with the Dark Knight crossing his boundaries just because of the script. More than being a superhero, Batman is a name that’s almost a synonym for justice.

In the world of superheroes, Batman’s fame is second to none. One of DC’s most respected characters, Batman has not only won the hearts of superhero fans, but he has also inspired them a lot. With Christopher Nolan’s trilogy based on Batman, people understood the character better and what followed was beyond valuation or imitation.

American actor Kevin Conroy is quite famous for voicing the DC superhero Batman in various animated movies and shows. In fact, Conroy has already completed 25+ years as the voice of Batman and people have really loved his work. Conroy himself has always been a great fan of Batman’s principles and how he handled his duty. Conroy found the way of Batman more impressive than his grandeur.

However, when Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice came to the theaters on March 25, 2016, it broke the heart of Conroy into pieces. The voice actor had no problems with the movie considering the acting, action scenes, or dialogues. What really got him worried was how Ben Affleck(Batman) went out of his way to accomplish his goals.

In an interview with Starburst magazine, Conroy mentioned clearly that he was disturbed after seeing Zack Snyder’s Batman killing common people and trying to murder another superhero.

“I personally love the fact that Batman doesn’t kill people. He arrests people and puts them in Arkham. That was always a line that Batman wouldn’t cross that I loved. I found that very disturbing in Batman v Superman.”

Conroy further said that he didn’t find Batman going on a murderous arc necessary. He believed it was just something the writers and director decided to do.

Zack Snyder‘s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was one of the most anticipated movies of all time. Superhero fans always wanted to see a dwell between the two most popular DC characters. Who would win a battle between the two superheroes was always an interesting question. Fans were genuinely overwhelmed when the movie was announced.

Snyder presented Ben Affleck as an aggressive version of the original Batman in the 2016 movie. Comparatively a more hot-headed Knight, Ben Affleck saw Henry Cavill (Superman) as nothing more than an existential threat to humanity.

In Dawn of Justice, Batman refers to Superman as a potential alien threat who needs to be eliminated. This was the reason why Batman strongly wanted to eradicate the presence of Superman. It has to be noted that Affleck’s Batman had no compulsory need to kill innocent civilians, or so says Kevin Conroy.
