In Hugh Jackman’s case, he played the character Logan for 17 years of his life, making it an integral part of his career. But after he departed from the role in James Mangold’s Logan, the question of who to cast next as the Wolverine became intense, with no consensus among the fans.

Daniel Radcliffe’s unshakeable legacy

Daniel Radcliffe was another victim of perfect casting, being so good as the titular character in the Harry Potter movies that no one has been able to replace him as the prophecized hero who would bring peace to the wizarding world.

Amongst all the questions asked in interviews, the Harry Potter star became annoyed by questions from reporters during a press tour and jokingly confirmed the rumor of him being cast as Wolverine even though it wasn’t true. Speaking to GQ, he said:

“It’s purely a press tour rumor; I say something, and then occasionally I get bored of answering that way so I say something different, and that sets it off again. I should just never open my mouth.”

The actor has admitted to faking the rumor previously too while promoting The Lost City in an interview with The View. He is also noted to be preferred by many fans as he is of a shorter height, similar to Wolverine. He further said:

“Every so often I get bored of answering questions sensibly so I just make a joke like I did the other day, and that has sort of reignited the rumors a bit.”
