Viswanathan attended their meeting and got to meet Taylor Swift. In her recent appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, the actress recalled that the singer expressed her excitement about their film. Surprisingly, Swift gifted her handbag to Viswanathan on the spot when the actress complimented her about her. She said,

“Funny you ask, I was hanging out with Margaret and Jack in the studio, and Taylor was on her way out, and Jack was like, ‘Taylor, have you met Geraldine? She’s in the movie with Margaret.’ Taylor was so nice, she was like, ‘Oh my God the trailer looks so good, can’t wait to see it’. And I was like, ‘Thanks, love your bag’, and she was like ‘Thanks, do you want it?’

And I was kind of just like, ‘What?’ “And then she started taking her stuff out of her bag into her pockets and was like, ‘I got this for free, like, you can take it.’ So, I took her bag. I took her bag[…]and I have proof!”

The anecdote is funny yet heartwarming and shows how much of a people-pleaser Swift is. Her generous and giving nature is what makes people love her and support her musical endeavors. Viswanathan must have felt incredibly lucky to get such a sweet gift from the singer.

After his marvelous turn as Alfred Yankovic in 2022’s Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, Daniel Radcliffe has signed on to another challenging film based on an incredible true story. As reported by Deadline, the actor will star alongside Ethan Hawke and Jessica Biel in Batso.

Hawke will play the titular role of Warren “Batso” Harding and Radcliffe will play Dean Caldwell. The film will chronicle the true story of how these two climbers did the unthinkable by climbing the infamous El Capitan route known as ‘The Wall of Early Morning Light’. The official synopsis of the film reads as follows,

“In 1970, ‘The Wall of Early Morning Light’ was an unthinkable climb. For larger-than-life climbing legends Warren ‘Batso’ Harding and Dean Caldwell, it represented a near-impossible physical and mental challenge. For iconoclast Batso, it also offered one last chance to stick it to the naysayers who thought him too old, too out of touch, and too crazy.

For novice Dean, it was a way to see beyond his 9-to-5 existence and unlock the awesome potential of the human spirit. What began as an almost farcical exercise became one of the great underdog stories in the history of the sport. The estimated 10-day climb stretched into a 28-day marathon of grit and determination that sparked a media sensation.”

This will be a very interesting and p[physically challenging film for both actors. Knowing their commitment to the craft, they will surely put in the effort to train and work hard to pull off the physically demanding scenes in the film. The film is set to start filming sometime this year.
