Making it in Hollywood means that the media spotlight is constantly on actors. If they enter a huge franchise like the MCU, it means that every step, or sometimes the lack of it even, is hyped up, discussed, and talked about in the mainstream without any breaks.
And hence, Elizabeth Olsen, who plays the incredible Scarlet Witch in Marvel’s live-action, knows too well that her life will generally remain public, no matter what she does. During her time in the MCU, which kicked off via Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Olsen has had to contend with a range of dating rumors, all related to some of her most illustrious co-stars.
The actress, now married to Robbie Arnett, has maintained a steady refusal whenever these rumors have cropped up, as they have linked her with the likes of Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner, and Tom Hiddleston.
Elizabeth Olsen has been linked with some major MCU men during her time with the franchise
Not many ladies will be irked at being linked with the kind of men that Elizabeth Olsen has rumored to have been with. Chris Evans and Jeremy Renner are both two of the OG Avengers, while Tom Hiddleston’s Loki has also graduated to become a hugely important figure in the MCU, after his namesake series.
Not to mention, the three are also some of the hottest stars in the entire franchise, with the likes of Evans and Hiddleston especially boasting huge female fanbases over the globe. However, when there is no truth to the rumors and Olsen herself has found love since 2021 in the form of musician Robbie Arnett, she has every right to grow impatient with them.
Following suit, Olsen, when asked in an interview about Tom Hiddleston, responded rather impatiently: (via Nicki Swift)
I mean, we definitely are friends and we’ve known each other for about four years. And we happened to be at a restaurant at a wrong time having dinner. We all go out to dinner. Well, apparently, I’m dating Chris Evans, and apparently, I’ve dated Jeremy Renner, so I guess that… I don’t react to it.
As the actress claimed, it is no big deal that she went on a dinner with Hiddleston, and she also revealed that the MCU fraternity tend to go to a lot of dinners together. The problem, according to the actress, was merely that she had gone on one with Hiddleston at the wrong time, which led to a swirl of rumors about the two.
Marvel is currently plotting Elizabeth Olsen’s return to the MCU
While The Scarlet Witch has been done justice in the sense she deserves, she has been portrayed as one of, if not, the strongest characters in the entire franchise. However, the way she went down in The Multiverse of Madness was bound to irk fans, who have ever since expected her return in some form or another.
While Marvel has toyed with the idea of making characters return in the form of their variants, fans will be glad that The Scarlet Witch they are completely familiar with looks set to return via Agatha All Along, which will also see the return of the talented Kathryn Hahn after Wandavision.
While nothing remains confirmed, the trailer did give fans a range of clues to the same. Further, the return of her dead body is indeed confirmed, and there seems no plausible way Olsen’s dead body will make it to the series, without it serving as a means to her return to the MCU.
Hence, not only is her character’s importance set to be reinstated, her love life has also long left behind the random rumors related to fellow MCU stars.
