At the 30th Screen Actors Guild Awards, Pedro Pascal won the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series Award. When Pascal went on stage to accept the award, he commended his fellow nominees, three of whom were Succession actors Brian Cox, Kieran Culkin, and Matthew Macfadyen. However, Pascal was unable to name them while on stage.

Later during the night, Pascal and Culkin ran into each other backstage, while Pascal spoke to Entertainment Tonight. When Pascal was asked about how he felt while on the stage, accepting the award, the actor took the opportunity to name the Succession actors and thanked them for cheering him on.

“I had a white noise go off in my brain.”

Pascal made the above statement regarding the experience before adding that everyone nominated was a bit paralyzed when the envelope was being opened.

“I felt particularly surprised today thanks to the male members of (Succession) and my good friend Billy (Crudup). Everyone was just like too paralyzed. Somehow it fell in my favor. The category was just uh uh too impressive.”

Pascal made the above comment about how it felt to win the award, especially when other nominated actors were equally deserving. The Succession cast also won the Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series at the event.

Pedro Pascal Shares Excitement For New Fantastic Four Movie

During his conversation with Entertainment Tonight, Pascal also addressed the recent announcement of him being cast as Reed Richards / Mr. Fantastic in the upcoming MCU film The Fantastic Four.

Pascal made the following statement, expressing his excitement for the upcoming movie:

“I can tell you how excited I am which is beyond there isn’t anything more exciting than being in a cast like that. Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Joe Quinn, and our director Matt Shakman and to be invited into a family like that is unbelievable.”

The Last of Us star also stated he and the cast want to do their best to honor the fan-favorite characters. The Fantastic Four is currently scheduled to be released on July 25, 2025. Meanwhile, Pascal will return for The Last of Us season 2, which is also set to premiere sometime in 2025.
