Daisy Ridley starred opposite legendary actress, Carrie Fisher in 2019’s The Rise of Skywalker, which was filmed after the latter’s demise in 2016. The latter used to share words of wisdom with her co-star to prepare for situations she faced. She also addressed why she hated to date guys after she gained stardom through her portrayal as iconic Princess Leia in Star Wars franchise.
She shared at the time,
“I also said it’s hard to date once you’re a big Star Wars star because you don’t want to give people the ability to say, ‘I had s-x with Princess Leia.'”
Given the influence she held in the industry, it would have highly affected her personal life. However, it was not the only advice she gave to her junior. She also talked about her s-x symbol status guiding the former not to follow her footsteps.

Carrie Fisher gained s-x symbol status due to her golden bikini
Fisher made headlines by donning a legendary gold bikini which her Star Wars character wore forcibly after being captured by supervillain Jabba the Hutt and made to be his slave. Though her character managed to escape, her portrayal made a special place among international fans thus cementing her s-x symbol status.

Recalling the time, she gave her successor precious advice which cited that she should avoid getting into a similar wardrobe trap.

“Well, you should fight for your outfit. Don’t be a slave like I was.”

Ridley made sure to assure her co-star that there was nothing to worry about regarding that aspect. After her co-star’s demise, Ridley regretted not learning more from the legendary icon.

“And especially, I never wanted to be the person who was like, ‘Hey, can I ask you like a hundred questions?’ So I went the other way and was like, ‘Yeah, I’m totally cool; I’m not fussed at all.’ So now I look back with Carrie – and with Harrison and Mark – on questions that I wish I had asked, but I didn’t want to be that annoying person.”

Fisher passed away following a heart attack in December 2016 at age 60. She was posthumously made a Disney Legend the next year. This year, she posthumously received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
