Jack Nicholson Has A Fascination Towards Hitler

Susanna Moore was working as a script reader in the 1970s when she became acquainted with Jack Nicholson. It was here that they two started their affair. Writing in her memoir, Miss Aluminium, she revealed that a few things about the actor made her skeptical of the relationship they shared. Among these things was the fact that the actor had quite a fascination with the most hated historical figure to this date, Adolf Hitler.

“The only time I ever disagreed with him was when he said that I had to admire Hitler for his determination, as Hitler had held to his beliefs. I was furious,” the writer recalled according to The Daily Mail

Moore revealed that during one of their conversations, Nicholson revealed that he admired the dictator for his determination and the fact that he did not step away from his beliefs. This wasn’t the only controversial historical figure that Nicholson had concerning opinions about as he was also very fond of Napoleon. The actor, on a specific occasion, called the French emperor a genius for the things that he had done in his life.

Susanna Moore Was Afraid To Disagree With Jack Nicholson

Naturally, these comments made Susanna Moore very upset, revealing that this was one of the very few times she had genuinely disagreed with Jack Nicholson and had been angry at something he did. She even mentioned that though many thought of the actor as an innocent and kind man, he often reminded her of something quite the opposite, referring to him as the wolf in the children’s tale, The Little Red Riding Hood.

I was afraid to argue with him, fearful that it would cause me to think less of him. As gentle and as malleable as he then was with women, he had a certain fondness for tyrants.” she went on according to The Daily Mail, “Although he had about him a certain innocence, his manic grin reminded me of the wolf who ate Red Riding Hood, a not unappealing association.”

Despite this, the writer was unable to voice to him how his words made her feel. The reason for this was that Moore was afraid to disagree or argue with him. Elaborating, she explained that she did not want the actor to think less of her for him agreeing with him and she chose to bite her tongue rather than make him upset or angry. She then added that as gentle and kind as the actor was, he did have a pattern of being attracted to tyrants.
