While the entire world seemed to be infatuated with the Harry Potter franchise for the better part of the previous decade and the one before it, the love and admiration of the public was the by-product of the hyper-successful Harry Potter film franchise by Warner Bros. In a previous interview, the star revealed that he does enjoy every film he did for the franchise, the reason why he hates the sixth installment in the series is that he critically reviewed himself, and realized that his performance was very lackluster by his standards in that particular film, which has lead him to hate the movie because he couldn’t give it his all. He said:

“My acting is very one-note and I can see I got complacent and what I was trying to do just didn’t come across. My best film is the fifth one because I can see a progression. And that’s why it’s hard to watch a film like Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Because I’m just not very good in it. I hate it.”

But while this might be the main reason why he hates this particular film, there are other reasons to hate this film as well, especially when it contains the death of one of the most beloved characters of the series.

While the entire film was a roller coaster of emotions for the audience, the death of Albus Dumbledore came as one of the most saddening and heart-wrenching moments in the entire film. The premise of the whole scene is quite hard to watch as we see Severus Snape, one of the students that Dumbledore admired and vice versa, take the life of his teacher with an unspoken goodbye.
