In 2015, Blake Lively referenced the Lavender Haze singer in a now-deleted Instagram post which a number of A-Lister celebrities in a L’Oreal campaign, which Lively likened to the ‘Bad Blood’ music video.

This mischievous comparison was instantly met with criticism, as the Swifties jumped to the defense of the singer, as they felt that they have that Blake Lively bad-mouthed Taylor Swift’s Bad Blood music video. However, the Green Lantern actress quickly came forward to clear the misunderstanding and expressed her love and adoration for the singer, she said “Umm whoever thought I was throwin shade clearly doesn’t know I have a Taylor Swift Please Be My Wife Voo Doo Doll,” along with a picture of her young niece at one of Taylor’s concerts.
After this comment by The Shallows actress, the two soon began their friendship after a couple of months, when they spent a day off together at ‘Movie World’ in Queensland when the two were in the same town.
Their Friendship was Taken to a New Level by Blake Lively
Blake Lively and Taylor Swift formed a brief professional relationship, as Lively made her directorial debut in 2021 for the music video for Red (Taylor Swift’s) version song. However, the actress was not the first family member to work with Swift, she sampled James Reynolds’ voice at the beginning of the Reputation track, Gorgeous back in 2017.
