Megan Fox Loved Starring In Till Death Despite Her Physically Draining Role In It

After starring in a string of blockbusters and studio films, Megan Fox starred in the 2021 thriller Till Death. The film chronicles Megan’s character after she is found handcuffed to her dead husband and tries to survive the hired killers who come after her. The film is one of the rare projects in Fox’s career where she gets to flex her acting chops.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the actress revealed that she had never read a script like that of the film and had never starred in a straight-up thriller before. She also found it physically draining to pull her stunt double (her dead husband) in every scene as she tried to survive. Despite all that, she still loved the experience of making the tense physically demanding thriller. Fox said in the interview,

It was just different than anything else I had read or seen. I haven’t done, like, a marriage drama before. I haven’t done, like, a grownup movie. I haven’t done a traditional thriller or horror movie before. His job was to play dead, so he was like actually [acting] dead and I was handcuffed to him and I had to pull him around through all of the scenes.

And it wasn’t easy! I don’t do well sitting still, talking all day, every day in a room. That’s not as inspiring to me as something like this. So I had a great time. I’ll always choose movies like this over something that’s more contained.

The film received mainly positive reviews from critics who all praised Fox’s understated and grounded performance. The film has a 90% on Rotten Tomatoes, probably the highest-rated film in her career. The Transformers star and the director of Till Death, S.K Dale are reuniting for the upcoming sci-fi thriller Subservience.
