British actress Claire Foy is known for portraying several iconic roles throughout her career. Most notably known for portraying the role of Queen Elizabeth II in The Crown, Foy received worldwide recognition with it.
Talking about her further career plans, Foy sat down for an interview with Josh Horowitz and the host had some interesting questions to ask her. Outrightly refusing a Top Gun sequel, Claire Foy stated that she doesn’t want to suffer for her art, unlike Tom Cruise!

With the British actress leaving The Crown and moving towards other projects, Claire Foy does know about American movies. On the Happy Sad Confused Podcast, Foy sat down for a chat with Josh Horowitz to talk about her career after The Crown.
Being an iconic host, Josh Horowitz asked Claire Foy what kind of stuff she would try in Hollywood if given the chance. Talking about potentially starring in a Top Gun sequel, Foy refused the possibility by stating that Tom Cruise makes the cast sit in planes to get a sense of realism in his movies!
“No. Because I hear he [Tom Cruise] gets people in planes & makes them be physically sick.”
Horowitz asked the actress if she wasn’t willing to suffer for her art (like Tom Cruise) and Foy replied negatively.
“No, not like that!”
Being a great friend to Matt Smith, the actress also talked about how she initially loved the character of Daemon Targaryen in HBO’s House of the Dragon but then started hating him!

Portraying the iconic role of Daemon Targaryen in House of the Dragon, Matt Smith attracted millions of fans to the series. One of the fans was his dear friend Foy with the duo having worked together before in The Crown.
“I was a very committed friend [of Smith’s character] but I disagreed with him in many scenes. I then had to tell [Smith] that I found them disgusting to watch. But yeah, I thought it was great. And it’s gone down really well, what a triumph.”
Well, with The Crown having ended, Claire Foy is out looking for new movies and series. The actress is currently associated with the upcoming film Mog’s Christmas currently set in pre-production.
