As one of the biggest Hulk fans out there, Joe Rogan’s love for the character is well-known. In fact, during one of the episodes of his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan expressed his discontent over the current state of Hulk in MCU and desire for a standalone Hulk movie with better CGI and cinematography. However, when the topic shifted to the new series She-Hulk, Rogan admitted that he hadn’t seen it yet.
Joe Rogan’s Expresses Disappointment About Hulk’s Current State In MCU
Given Joe Rogan‘s love for the Hulk, it is not surprising that he has not watched She-Hulk yet. However, during the podcast episode, Rogan asked why the show has been criticized and whether its CGI was the reason behind the negative feedback.
“Was it bad? I didn’t see it. What’s wrong with it?”
Rogan also expressed his disappointment with the smart Hulk concept, which is featured in the Avengers franchise.
“I got mad, next thing you know he’s gonna be wearing a dress like what what they’re doing is they’re experimenting with these time-held characters that we love so dearly you can’t just do that”
For him, the Hulk is all about rage, and a smart Hulk takes away from the essence of the character.
“he’s not smart that’s the whole point, he’s in Rage yeah it’s like the idea that he would be like smart and giant at the same time with the green skin and big ass glasses shut up. The Hulk is like says Hulk smash like he goes from being the smartest guy in the world so a dude with two word sentences“
She-Hulk Fails to Impress Fans with Poor CGI and Lackluster Humor
She-Hulk is a new Marvel series that premiered on Disney+ in 2022. It features Jennifer Walters, a lawyer who gains Hulk-like abilities after receiving a blood transfusion from her cousin, Bruce Banner. The show is supposed to be a legal comedy, but fans have been left disappointed with the series’ poor CGI and lackluster humor.
Additionally, the show’s humor has been criticized for being dull and lacking the comedic timing that one would expect from a legal comedy.
Despite the mixed reception of She-Hulk, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige expressed his satisfaction with the series, stating that he was happy they took a chance on it and tried something new in the MCU.
In an interview, Feige emphasized that the series was designed to be a legal comedy and that it had a different tone and style compared to other Marvel shows. He also mentioned that he is excited about exploring different genres and experimenting with new characters in the MCU.
While She-Hulk may have failed to impress fans, there is still hope for the character in the future. With Marvel’s track record of creating exceptional content, it is only a matter of time before they get the character right. As for Joe Rogan, he will have to wait a little longer before he gets to see his favorite character on the big screen in a standalone movie.
