“I hope there will be, I think there will be”: Letitia Wright Admits She Jumped the Gun on Black Panther 3, Not Sure if Marvel Is Making It

The fans were pondering the possibility of a third film, and during Golden Globes 2023, Letitia Wright commented that a third film is already in the works, and the cast is in a break before going back to portray their role. Recently the actress clarified her comments on the third film that she made during the awards show held in January 2023.

Letitia Wright’s Clarification on the Black Panther 3 film

In a recent red carpet interview with BuzzFeed, Letitia Wright clarified her earlier comment on the possibility of a third movie and explained what she meant was that in a popular and successful franchise, there is always hope that another movie would take place. And if a third film deems fit for the franchise, then it would take place, but it would be time-consuming because writing a script takes time.

“What I tried to say, maybe I didn’t do it clearly enough, to clarify, there is always the hope that you would have another film, especially in a franchise. If there is to be another film, which I hope there will be, I think there will be; it takes time to make it; you have to go through the script process. Ryan needs rest to think of what to put together for the next one which, he’s a genius but geniuses also need rest and food. But in the meantime, I’m gonna be getting ready and try to put some different work out there before that time is ready.”

Letitia Wright’s clarification saddened the fan base as they were excited that they would see another Black Panther film in a year or two, but her recent clarification has been taken with a dab of salt by some fans.

What did Letitia Wright say Earlier about Black Panther 3?

In January 2023 during the pre-show interview with Variety at Golden Globes 2023, Letitia Wright said that she thinks that the third film is already in work, and they would see it soon, and she is optimistic that the fans would soon hear about Black Panther 3

“I think it’s already in the works. You know, we just had a terrific two years of bringing it out and everybody coming together to support it. We need a little bit of a break, we need to regroup and [director] Ryan [Coogler] needs to get back into the lab, so it’s going to take a little while, but we’re really excited for you guys to see that. I always try to do positive words and positive thinking, and I believe that good words manifest, so I’m manifesting a ‘Black Panther 3,’ why not?”

Even though the Black Panther actress said this in the interview, Kevin Feige had been talking to Ryan Coogler about the ideas for Black Panther 3.

Can we expect a Black Panther 3 Movie?

Nate Moore, the executive producer of the film said in 2022 that there had been talks about the third film, and they would wait and see if the fans would like another movie. He added that he is a little superstitious and doesn’t want to give false hopes to the fans, as the future remains uncertain.

“There are certainly ideas we’ve floated around of what a third film could be if we get to make it. But until the movie comes out, we’re a bit superstitious in that way. We don’t want to count our chickens, because you never know what’s going to happen.”

Since Nate Moore says they would wait for the fans’ reactions for a third movie, it can be said quite confidently that a third film would take place in the near future, as Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was immensely loved by the fans and praised by the critics despite the plot being restructured due to Chadwick Boseman’s death in 2020.
