Several unknown facts came to the surface when two of the most legendary mangaka came face-to-face. One of the most common questions asked was how One Piece was going to end. Eiichiro Oda was quick to answer.
During the interview, Eiichiro Oda said, “I’ve always pictured what the final chapter of ‘ONE PIECE’ would be like, though from time to time, the situation surrounding it changes. It will still be over whenever the One Piece is found in the series, haha. Anyway, this next arc is the final one.” He mentioned that the moment the greatest treasure is found, the anime will end.
It just might be so that the treasure might literally be ‘One Piece’ of gold. That is why Gol D. Roger and his crew members were seen laughing after finding the treasure. It was Oda’s way of conveying that dreams are more important than treasure. Moreover, the ultimate treasure will not be something sentimental and will have value. So, the fans are worried if something like this takes place, it would not be fitting to the journey of the last 25 years.
