Jennifer Lawrence’s No Hard Feelings is sparkling laughter now. In the Gene Stupnitsky comedy-drama, Lawrence’s character, Maddie goes on a weird date with a wealthy couple’s introverted and awkward 19-year-old son.
Of course, the actor has spent most of her career appearing in rather serious movie roles and is now coming out to explore comic roles. As funny as No Hard Feelings get with Lawrence’s appeal, her chuckling does not evaporate beyond her cinematic presence. Recently, The Hunger Games star appeared in British journalist Amelia Dimoldenberg’s Chicken Shop Date where the actor revealed a lot about her life and career.
The Worst Date of Jennifer Lawrence
The show is all about dates as the title suggests, so, when the host of the show Amelia Dimoldenberg asked Jennifer Lawrence about her worst date the actor candidly admitted her fault. “I mean it was my fault. This guy was really, really cute,” Lawrence said. “He’s dead now actually,” she joked.
Further, Lawrence said that she ruined the date just by laughing on and on. “I laughed too hard at a joke and I kept laughing and laughing and laughing,” she said.
“I annoyed him and everybody at the theater it wasn’t even like a comedy. It was just something happened that like struck My Funny Bone. It just went on and on and on until he died sorry”
Later in the interview, the actor revealed that she is not a romantic person saying “no” straightway after Dimoldenberg asked about that. The X-Men actor also said that being proposed to feels terrifying yet very exciting.
“Terrifying but very very exciting. I just, I didn’t say what I wanted to. I, like imagined it a million times and then I ended up just going what, what, what, and then going thank you, thank you, thank you.”
As it appeared in the video, the Oscar-winning actor had fun recalling the funny memories which itself sounds like the jokes of a stand-up comedian. But Lawrence, well, she is kind of always soaked in humor and laughter.
Jennifer Lawrence Walked Down the Memory Lane of The Hunger Games and X-Men
Lawrence also recalled incidents from two of the most celebrated franchises in her career— The Hunger Games and X-Men. The actor nodded “yeah” when the host asked her if she had to be painted naked every day while shooting X-Men. But she assured that there are no other kinks. The actor also said that her shape-shifting was not the best superpower to have rather, as she said, “Magneto is more powerful than everybody else.”
But what superpower she would love to have? Well, she mimicked the host when she said about having the ability to speak every language of the world. “I would like to speak every language in the world,” she said.
Going back to The Hunger Games, Lawrence recalled asking her husband Cooke Maroney about how he liked the film. “I asked my husband way late into our relationship […] Do you like The Hunger Games?” she said. “Then he just died laughing at me and like texted all my friends that I said that,” she added.
However, the actor knew that he loved the film. Also, one day she would prefer to show The Hunger Games first to her son Cy, out of all the movies she appeared in. Not even her Oscar-winning performance.
Further, the actor revealed that she did auditions for both The Hunger Games and X-Men. Interestingly, she learned archery for The Hunger Games.
