Despite their mutual emphasis on storytelling and character evolution, Pattinson and Stewart pursued these objectives through divergent methods.

Pattinson’s perspective tends to be more cerebral, seeking a deeper understanding of motivations, a method distinct from Stewart’s immediate connection. He mentioned that he doesn’t adopt this level of scrutiny for other roles, reserving it primarily for Edward. This practice has persisted since the first film, reflecting his inclination to delve profoundly into his characters.

Naturally, Pattinson’s inclination for delving deeply into things and getting lost in his thoughts occasionally posed challenges for him. The actor, known for his role in Twilight, recounted an instance during the shooting of the tent scene in Eclipse.

“The first time we did that tent scene, I was really freaking out,” Pattinson shared. “I don’t know why. I think it had to do with claustrophobia because we were actually shooting in a tent. I just couldn’t get it together. I kept forgetting my lines, and I was so nervous. I just wanted to punch anyone who was near me.”

He revealed that he grappled with claustrophobia and found himself trapped in his own mind during that particular moment.

Initially, Pattinson wasn’t particularly fond of Stewart’s playful behavior. However, over time, he came to recognize that stifling his laughter was, in fact, aiding in his ability to unwind, and ultimately, this dynamic played a pivotal role in the success of the scene.

Twilight is available for streaming on Hulu.
