The whole of Hollywood including the Fast and Furious crew was shocked to the core to hear of Paul Walker passing away at the age of 40, leaving behind his young daughter. Speaking about his friend’s passing, Dwayne Johnson spoke in an interview with Screen Rant,

“I heard via text I mean I looked down at my phone there was probably 50 text messages or what and I pulled the car over. I was with my girl at that time and I just broke down like many people did and gathered myself together. We drove home and got home again and broke down again just cried like a baby.”
Adding on he explained how the biggest pain he felt was for his family and daughter.
“I just immediately started thinking about his daughter and his family, man. But you know the dude was such a good guy he was one of the best. So I’m so happy to be sitting here with you. I’m so happy to be that we had our movie and we finished it and it was a great tribute to him.”

Not only were the Fast and Furious cast heartbroken, but all of them including Dwayne Johnson, expressed happiness over completing the unfinished Fast and Furious 7 as a tribute to the late actor.

The Fast and Furious franchise has just had its tenth installment. Throughout this time, the cast and crew keep honoring their late friend, Paul Walker.

Back in 2019, Dwayne Johnson took to Instagram to post an emotional note for his friend Paul Walker’s birthday, paying tribute to the actor’s legacy.

“I never post about my friend. It’s a personal thing, but I prefer to keep our memories and bond private and quiet. But something about today compelled me as a moving reminder of how fragile life is for all of us. It’s Paul’s birthday and rightfully so, his legacy celebrated around the world……We never know what’s around the corner, so we gotta live as greatly as we can in the honour of our loved ones and ancestors who are no longer with us. Manuia le aso fanau, my friend.”

His emotional note shows just how close the Fast and Furious crew have gotten with each other.
