For a guy in his mid-fifties, Joe Rogan is in pretty tip-top shape and has been very serious about his approach regarding his fitness. But even though the former UFC commentator is adamant about keeping himself healthy, unlike many Hollywood A-listers, he hasn’t resolved to the idea of having a personal trainer to achieve great results.

Even though the Podcaster hasn’t backed away from a healthy diet and regular workout sessions, Rogan seems to enjoy his workout sessions more in solitary than in the presence of a personal trainer. Rogan once opened up about his distaste for having a trainer by his side during one of his podcast episodes.

Joe Rogan isn’t a fan of having personal trainers

While discussing his fitness routine in an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, Joe Rogan expressed that he isn’t the biggest fan of personal trainers, as they invade his alone time. The commentator explained that he isn’t comfortable with someone breaching his privacy during his workout sessions and likes to train by himself without any external interruptions. He explained his reasoning by stating,

“The problem with that [having a fitness trainer] is that it’s great for sure, but I need alone time. That’s my alone time when I work out. I like to put airpods on, listening to music and I just get cranking, and I just get in my own head. That’s what I like to do. I don’t want anybody telling me what we’re doing next. I know what to do. I write it out.”

But despite his personal preferences about his approach regarding working out, the UFC podcaster hasn’t backed away from admitting the benefits of having a personal trainer.

Joe Rogan acknowledged the pros of having a personal trainer

Personal trainers have played a huge part in several actors’ transformation for their required roles in a limited amount of time, including the likes of Dwayne Johnson, Henry Cavill, Sylvester Stallone, etc. The seven-time Mr. Olympia winner, Arnold Schwarzenegger, who is an icon in the world of bodybuilding, has also expressed his admiration towards his former trainer Joe Weider on several occasions.

And even though Joe Rogan might not be the biggest fan of the practice of training under the supervision of a personal trainer, he has acknowledged the benefits of having one. He said,

“There’s a great benefit to having a trainer, there’s no doubt. But for me, it’s like what I get out of it personally.”

Despite not having a trainer by his side to help him with certain workouts, that hasn’t much impact on Rogen in any way and the podcaster is still in incredible shape for someone of his age.
