Anne Hathaway reveals how Hugh Jackman lost it while shooting for Les Miserables

While presenting Hugh Jackman with an award at the Hollywood Film Awards, Anne Hathaway took the opportunity to share some behind the scene stories with the audience. While reminiscing about her shoot with Jackman during Les Miserables on the podium, Hathaway said,

“In case you haven’t noticed anarchy is the order of the day. So let’s flip the script. I once saw Hugh Jackman, the nicest guy in Hollywood, lose his (expletive).”

Furthermore, the Devil Wears Prada actress went on to explain what exactly prompted Jackman to lose his cool. Sharing how a delay in the shoot frustrated the Wolverine actor, Hathaway continued,

“We had been at it for hours and were long past the point of exhaustion, in that particular place only Tom Hooper or childbirth can get you.”

Revealing her reaction to Jackman’s exhaustion, Hathaway added, “I knew I had to say something so I said, ‘Are you okay man?” And it was right then that Hathaway saw Jackman at his worst. She shared,

“Hugh drew in a ragged, powerful breath, locked his gaze on mine, and said through gritted teeth, ‘Annie, it’s a lot.”

Yeah, that’s it. That’s what an exhausted and impatient Hugh Jackman sounds like. Sharing that this was the ‘worst behavior’ she ever saw from Hugh Jackman, it is clear why Hathaway or any other actor feels that Jackman is a true gentleman. But there is more to it.
