There isn’t a single DC fan that hasn’t seen Wonder Woman and Justice League. Everyone loved the impressive fight sequence Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman was involved in, in each of the two movies. However, she was quite a real-life superhero too as she was pregnant during the Justice League movie and for some Wonder Woman reshoots as well. Even though she did a great job hiding her pregnancy from her co-actors, Henry Cavill revealed that he had quite the right hunch.

While Gal Gadot did not want any special treatment on the sets of Justice League, Henry Cavill was quick to come to the accurate conclusion of his co-actor being pregnant with her second child.

While talking about Gadot with Access Hollywood, Cavill revealed that the actress was incredible in more ways than one. When asked how Cavill reacted to Gadot’s pregnancy, he let the interviewer and the fans in on a little secret. Apparently, he knew she was pregnant based on what he had seen on the sets. He added that Gadot disappeared often and didn’t look very well, therefore it was easy for him to figure out she was pregnant.

He continued by adding that he was not the only one on set who figured out Gadot’s secret. The Aquaman actor, Jason Momoa also had a few clues. Looks like Cavill was quite the right choice to play Sherlock Holmes in Enola Holmes.

During Wonder Woman and Justice League shoots, Gadot wasn’t only battling a supervillain, she was battling something much worse – morning sickness. In an interview with Rolling Stones, Gadot revealed that she and the crew had to go to great lengths in order to keep her pregnancy hidden from her co-stars. They went so far as to hide the pregnancy that they had to cut open Gadot’s costume and put a green screen on her belly.

Apparently, the reason why the Red Notice actor didn’t want to reveal her pregnancy before the shoot was over, was that she didn’t want to be coddled by anyone on set.

I didn’t want attention. The default should be that women get the job done, but there’s a long way to go and a lot of reprogramming that needs to be done to both genders.”

Well, Gadot’s performance in Wonder Woman was more than enough to start the “reprogramming” even if it was just in the superhero genre of movies. The Princess of the Amazons turned out to be a role model for many young girls who had previously watched a male-dominated movie genre. When Gadot was asked if she was a feminist, she replied that the question shouldn’t even be asked because if anyone isn’t a feminist then they’re just sexist.

Gadot credits her attitude to her upbringing where she was raised to believe that she was capable and that she must believe in herself. Her resilience speaks volumes about why many young girls look up to the actress.
