With his Bankai unrevealed, Aizen maybe could travel back to the past, this would also reveal the reasons behind his God complex and his hate for Urahara. All of these point out one thing and that is how he never reveals his Bankai makes him the most terrifying villain. This shows how his Bankai has unlimited potential, not only does this work as the justification for him being the greatest villain but also it adds up to his overall appearance as a villain in Bleach.

Symbolic power of Aizen’s legacy

The symbolic power Aizen possesses lies under his unrevealed Bankai. In many ways, mysteries revolving around his Bankai allow him to draw his invincible aura. To put this, it can be stated that by not showing his Bankai he creates an atmosphere of psychological pressure on his foes, which adds up to his title of greatest villain of all time.

Aizen does not need a Bankai, according to a comment on Reddit. It clearly shows how this is the reason that Aizen has been able to become the greatest villain of all time. On the other hand, if he had a Bankai known to all maybe that would make him predictable and not that much intimidating as a villain.

The fact that Tite Kubo did not reveal his Bankai yet, allows Aizen to be symbolic. The legacy he carries simply makes him the most terrifying of all the time as a villain.

Bleach is available to watch on Crunchyroll.
