Wrestler-turned-actor Dwayne Johnson has appeared in many incredible films throughout his acting career. Apart from his iconic roles, the actor is widely known for his impressive physique. It’s quite common for a wrestler to have a huge body, but it seems like not everyone is impressed by it.
Well, that’s not possible in the case of the beloved Johnson, but yes, his Jungle Cruise co-star Emily Blunt once expressed her ‘enormous’ experience of working alongside him. She mentioned that walking beside him made her feel like a tiny kid.
Emily Blunt commented on feeling ‘tiny’ while working alongside Dwayne Johnson
Emily Blunt and Dwayne Johnson collaborated for the 2021 film Jungle Cruise. It was their first time sharing the screen, yet their chemistry was commendable. During her appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the actress discussed her experience of working alongside Johnson. Blunt reflected on the delightful challenge of starring alongside The Rock and recalled,
“I was walking next to him, people would take pictures of us walking next to each other, and I looked like his child, like his tiny child.”
While Blunt’s observation is understandable, given that Johnson has a wrestler’s imposing physique, it’s important not to overlook the great chemistry they displayed on screen. However, despite their performance and chemistry, the film couldn’t escape being a box-office disappointment. However, when it made its OTT debut, it achieved commercial success. Furthermore, the makers have announced a sequel to Jungle Cruise.
All about the Jungle Cruise sequel
The forest adventure wouldn’t be complete without Lily and Frank. It’s certain that Emily Blunt and Dwayne Johnson will reprise their roles in the upcoming Jungle Cruise sequel. According to a news outlet, the film is speculated to be released sometime in 2025, although the ongoing writers-actors strikes may potentially delay its release.
As of now, no major updates about the film have been revealed, but there are speculations that Jack Whitehall might also return to reprise his role as Lily’s brother, MacGregor.
