Hey, never say never. Maybe. Maybe I return. Maybe I don’t. You’ll just have to tune in to find out. I know I’ll be first in line, whether I’m in it or not.

Early this year, The Hollywood Reporter shared that “the studio is deep into the development of an all-new Jurassic World movie and has David Koepp back at the keyboard.” The latter penned the original 1993 Jurassic Park script which Steven Spielberg famously directed.

Colin Trevorrow, helmer of Jurassic World: Dominion, revealed in an interview with Empire that he “did something different than the other films in order to change the DNA of the franchise.” There was indeed a remarkable change in the plot, a move that defined fresh opportunities to tell more tales.

His version told “a story about characters in a world in which they coexist with dinosaurs” so it’s exciting to think what Edwards may have in store for fans.

The upcoming project has been labeled as the “new Jurassic era” so it might rule out the chance of Pratt and his costar, Bryce Dallas Howard, reprising their roles. The Jurassic Park franchise remains a flagship for Universal Pictures, with the first installment changing the game of visual effects.

Pratt’s fellow MCU stars like Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans have already started finding successful projects outside of the superhero realm. The former has already won an Oscar for his Oppenheimer performance while the latter has been doing a lot of small-budget films such as The Gray Man and Ghosted.

Indeed, Pratt has a lot of options outside of the Jurassic World films now that he’s done with MCU. The Super Mario Bros. Movie was a raging success after it earned $1.3 billion worldwide against a budget of $100 million.
