Along with her, the star cast of the show is what made it one of the leading TV series all over the world. But with this duty, it seems like Zendaya may have pushed herself a little too far, especially in this particular episode of the show.

Taking the small-screen entertainment industry by storm with its dark and gritty yet equally amazing story and performances by the actors, Euphoria has become one of the biggest names in TV shows. And leading the narration of this story is none other than Zendaya, who has become the youngest Golden Globe award winner for her exceptional depiction of Rue Bennet in the show. But it hasn’t been easy for the young actress, especially when she had to push herself past the breaking point in this one particular episode from season 2.

The episode in question is the fifth episode from the second season titled Stand Still Like The Hummingbird, where audiences see Rue run around the entire town trying to find her suitcase filled with drugs as she refuses to go to rehab. Here, she faces hardships in every form ranging from psychological, to emotional and physical. In an interview, the Spider-Man: Homecoming star detailed how that episode borderline broke her while she was filming each shot. She said:

“It was a very tough day. I mean, I beat myself up. I still have some scars on my legs, and got quite a few bruises. The general idea was always the same, which was this idea of, we cut right into an intervention and it’s Rue just ripping her life apart and setting her life on fire and kind of tearing everything to the ground to basically come to hopefully what feels like rock bottom for her.”

While the shoot may have been one of the most demanding jobs that she had ever undertaken, it paid off in the end as the episode was a crucial part of the story as well as her character, which was executed to perfection, and thus, loved by the audience.
