Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt’s rivalry is no longer a mystery, their dislike towards each other is palpable. Both Pitt and Cruise continue to reign the industry for 30 years now. Tom Cruise delivered a box-office hit, Top Gun: Maverick and his contemporary was nominated for a Golden Globe for his performance in Babylon. Both of these actors are strong-minded, opinionated, and in close competition with each other all the time.
Brad Pitt has a sh*t list that includes those he will not work with
Brad Pitt has a sh*t list, as revealed by the Kick-Ass star Aaron Taylor-Johnson who revealed the said list. The actor is sharing the screen with the legendary actor Brad Pitt in Bullet Train, a fun stylistic crime-thriller that takes you on a visual ride along with five assassins.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson told the press at Locarno Film Festival,
“[Brad] is in a new chapter of his life, I think. He just wants to bring light and joy into the world and be around people who are there to have a good time. You work with many actors and after a while, you start making notes: ‘I am not working with this person ever again.’ Brad has this list too: the ‘good’ list and the sh-t list.”
After this revelation it is genuine to wonder who is present in his sh*t list, the other question is how much you have to piss Brad Pitt to make it into his sh*t list. One person we can unanimously come to our mind is Tom Cruise.
Brad Pitt openly dissed Tom Cruise after working with him
Out of everyone, Pitt could put in the list Cruise has to be one of them for two reasons, one Pitt acknowledged in his interview after working with him the other is that Cruise is a direct competitor of Brad Pitt. The two stars worked on a film long forgotten, Interview With The Vampire
“[Tom bugged me.] There came a point during filming when I started resenting him. He’s North Pole, I’m South. He’s always coming at you with a handshake, whereas I may bump into you. There was this underlying competition that got in the way of any real conversation…he’s a good actor and he advances in the film. He did it. I mean, you have to respect that.”
This was the first time either of the parties acknowledged the rivalry in public, there was no going back. But it has been a long time since then and maybe Pitt and Cruise have worked out their issues? That will be a hard No, there have been reports where an insider allegedly shared how Tom Cruise blames Brad Pitt for the Golden Globe snub, if this is true there is hardly any chance of reconciliation in near future between the two egos.
Bullet Train is streaming on Netflix.
