Jacob Elordi is known for some of the most dark and morally conflicted characters in Hollywood. Whether it is a teen romance movie or a dark take on the realities of the world, he has proven time and again that acting is no difficult task for him. His latest film, Priscilla, sees him take on the iconic role of Elvis Presley.
Out of the very many range of roles he has played, Elordi recently talked about how he gave up on the role of Superman because he found it to be too dark. The irony of the same stands humorous to the fans considering he is best known for playing Nate Jacobs in Euphoria. His latest take on what makes him pick certain specific roles has further managed to confuse the fans.
Jacob Elordi’s Choice of Projects
Jacob Elordi is best known for playing Nate Jacobs in Euphoria and his latest role, Elvis Presley in Priscilla has taken the world by storm. He recently spoke up about how he was offered the role of Superman in James Gunn’s Superman: Legacy. He stated that the role was not fit for him because it was too dark for him. In an interview with IndieWire, Elordi revealed what his next project would be about.
“I just play what they give me. I need a job.”
He stated that it was not about the role but the fact that he would rather be working than be out of a job. He said that being picky about the roles he gets is not something he can choose but more so take whatever comes his way because he is in need of a job. This seems to be rather ironic seeing that he very recently rejected a role that was massive in both fame and name.

They are mocking his answer while contrasting his decision with a sense of hypocrisy and irony that it is laced with. Elordi is an actor who has already played a fair share of roles that express his range in acting, so it supports that he is not one to care about what the role is about seeing that he would be able to play it regardless.
