In a recent appearance on Late Night with Seth Mayers, Norton spoke about various things, including how it’s better to be the interviewer and how overwhelmed Tom Cruise tends to make him every time he is on his show.
Graham Norton Reveals Tom Cruise Leaves Him Enchanted
Graham Norton is one of the most popular and amazing late-night talk show hosts. Known for his incredible sense of humor, Norton has interviewed hundreds of celebrities over the years. This makes one think that perhaps he might have become used to it by now, for after all, it’s just people he’s talking to.
In an interview with Late Night with Seth Mayers, the talk show host talked about how he really has become used to his job but still gets the jitters when certain celebrities come up, even though he has already interviewed them many times.
And one of those celebrities that makes him mesmerized and overwhelmed is Mission: Impossible star, Tom Cruise.
“Tom Cruise is one of those people, you know. Because normally once they come through that door and they sit down, pretty quickly, it’s just a man in a jacket or some woman in a frock, and that’s the end of it. Tom Cruise, I never get past the fact that it’s Tom Cruise. He remains Tom Cruise throughout the interview.”
Stated Norton when asked about how he feels about the many celebrities that come on his talk show, for he is one of the only small amount of people who interviews more than a couple of celebrities each time.
Graham Norton Believes That Tom Cruise Is A Star
There are actors and then there are stars. While all stars can be actors, not all actors are stars, and celebrity talk show host, Graham Norton knows it well enough. While talking about his many famous guests, Norton stated that in the sea of actors and actresses, Tom Cruise is one of the only ones who can be characterized as a star.
While talking about how he and the audience feel about having Cruise up on his show, Norton replied to Seth Meyers.
“Audience likes that, and I enjoy that, and also, you know, the other guests, you can tell they’re all a bit starry about him and there aren’t many people like that. That kind of old star system’s kind of gone.”
And even though Cruise might have had some controversial moments, nobody could deny that his star power is unmatchable and unwavering.
