Jamie Foxx’s sudden collapse in April on the set of Netflix’s Back in Action has given birth to many conspiracy theories. Also, many other rumors concerning the actor appeared as some claimed that Foxx was miserable on set.
Foxx was absent from the public eye for several months following his mysterious health condition which further fuelled the controversy. His co-star in Back in Action, Cameron Diaz has finally opened up responding to the rumors against the actor.
Cameron Diaz Breaks Silence on Jamie Foxx’s Rumor
Cameron Diaz came back from retirement for the Netflix movie Back in Action starring alongside Jamie Foxx. However, a rumor has been circulating concerning Foxx that alleges the actor is miserable to everyone and “crazy” on set. Appearing in the latest episode of Lipstick on the Rim, Diaz responded to the rumors.
“I really hate all of the things that were being said about our set at the time. You just want to scream at the top of your lungs, like, ‘What are you talking about?’ … Jamie is, like, the cheerleader for the entire crew. Everybody loves him. We have so much fun on the set with him and he’s just a professional on every level.”
The rumor involving Diaz had surfaced claiming that Foxx making everyone miserable and that “I was never gonna make another movie again because of him.” Diaz denied the occurrence of such an incident on the set saying she had a good relationship with Foxx on the set.
Cameron Diaz Revealed Her Experience Of Working With Jaime Foxx
Seth Gordon’s Back in Action is not the only movie Diaz and Foxx collaborated on. Earlier, the duo appeared in the 1999 film Any Given Sunday and Will Gluck’s 2014 musical comedy Annie. Speaking of the reunion and her experience working with the Oscar winner, Diaz revealed that she “had a blast,” (via Lipstick on the Rim).
“Jamie is the best. I love that guy so much. He’s such a special person and he’s so talented, so much fun. The hiccups that happened throughout production are the natural kinds of things that happen. But nothing got delayed other than, obviously, toward the end. And that’s something that is not my place to speak about.”
The 51-year-old went on to add, “When I see and hear people trying to take another person down like that … [Jamie is] so classy. He’s like, ‘Nope. Just let them [talk].’” Although the actor wished to wholeheartedly avoid all these talks, “Still, it just really made me angry,” she added. Foxx has been under several scrutiny after different alleged troubles including his Back in Action rumor and recent s*xual assault allegations in a lawsuit came out. More update awaits.
