Margot Robbie, the wild actress known for portraying characters like Harley Quinn and Barbie, once turned into a real-life Harley Quinn by taking drugs. Although they were just painkillers, the Babylon actress shared a terrible yet hilarious audition that she was involved in right afterward.

When Margot Robbie Was High!

Well, the story is quite a long one since the actress shared every account of her day when she was high on some painkillers. Having undergone a minor surgery a day before her auditions, Margot Robbie was in terrible pain while at her friend’s house.

With some leftover painkillers that her friend had, Robbie accidentally swallowed two painkillers instead of one. The regrettable thing was that the role that she was going to be auditioning for was a character that she wanted to portray desperately. Being high, however, Margot Robbie recalled the terrible audition that went wrong and a driving test that she had to do afterward on that uneventful day.

“I woke up and I was getting ready for this audition, didn’t get time to eat breakfast so, on an empty stomach, I had two [painkillers]. I’m driving and halfway there I was suddenly like, ‘Oh my God, what a lovely day it is!’”

The actress revealed that when she reached her auditions, she realized that she was indeed high and spent the entire auditions while curling up on the couch.

“‘I THINK I’M HIGH. I remember curling up on the couch and the whole thing was terrible.”

She further revealed that she had a driving test right afterward the auditions for her American license but she was still high from the painkillers.

“I was going for my driving test right afterwards to get my American licence and I was like, ‘I am not OK, I cannot do a driver’s test’. Fortunately my friend worked at Sony, which is where I was doing the audition, and I ran to her office and was like, ‘Can you give me food or something? I think I’m high. I’m not sure but I think I’m high, help me’. It was hilarious.”

Although she did not get the role, the day truly became beautiful for Margot Robbie as she had quite a story to tell to the people when she got high on some painkillers.

With a psychotic counterpart to the Joker, Margot Robbie clearly pulled off the character of Harley Quinn. As per the Suicide Squad actress, the role of Harley Quinn is so dear to her that she even misses Quinn while in her routine life.

“I loved playing Harley again. I miss her when I’m not playing her, I’m exhausted when I am playing her but I’m always just keen to do it again. She kind of takes over at some point and I go on autopilot and she does her thing.”

Her latest portrayal as Joker’s girlfriend (sorry ex-girlfriend) was seen in the 2021 movie The Suicide Squad which was directed by James Gunn. It is yet not confirmed whether she will return to her iconic role once again with all the changes in the DCU but fans can only hope for the best of never losing Margot Robbie as their Harley Quinzel. James Gunn’s and Margot Robbie’s The Suicide Squad is available to stream on HBO Max.
