Wahlberg relocated to Las Vegas last year with his wife Rhea Durham and his four children. The actor during an appearance in The Talk opened up about the reason for his decision to move to Nevada. According to Mark Wahlberg, he wanted to not only focus on his kids’ future but also do something new there in Sin City.

“So, to be able to give my kids a better life and follow and pursue their dreams, whether it be my daughter as an equestrian, my son as a basketball player, my younger son as a golfer. This made a lot more sense for us. We came here to just kind of give ourselves a new look, a fresh start for the kids. There’s lot of opportunity here. I’m really excited about the future.”

Mark Wahlberg was recently spotted on Hard Rock Hotel’s T60 Rooftop Bar & Lounge talking with E! News where he added more on this topic. The Boogie Nights actor revealed that he doesn’t regret leaving L.A. even a bit as he thinks he has seen enough of it.

“They love Vegas. I spent lots of time in L.A. pursuing my interests and my career and now it’s time for them to pursue theirs. Everybody is thriving there, it’s been great. I saw Adele, I saw Bruno Mars. I’ve seen quite a few shows and been to lots of great restaurants. There’s so much to do in Vegas and it’s so exciting.”

The Uncharted actor revealed that while his main interest in moving was the betterment of his kids but he will also be able to start his own studio there. Seemingly the actor has some dreams of his own and wants to create job opportunities there. Many netizens were also doubtful about the 51-year-old’s decision to go somewhere like Vegas to raise a family. The Scoob! star in an interview with Fox News opened up that Las Vegas is more than what the common people think and there are actually “amazing areas that are all about family and community.”
