Glen Powell and Daisy Edgar-Jones star as storm chasers in Twisters, helmed by Lee Isaac Chung of Minari fame. The actors have been actively promoting the film that hit the theaters on Friday. The promotions also revealed great chemistry between the two actors, which fans absolutely fell in love with. Fans cannot help but laugh at Edgar-Jones half-heartedly insulting Powell in one of these promotional events.
Powell is becoming a major star in the industry, with hit films like Top Gun: Maverick and Anyone But You preceding this project. Twisters will also likely become a commercial success owing to its largely positive critical reviews. Glen Powell starrer Twisters piqued the interest of many after the trailer of the film dropped a few weeks back. The film is a standalone sequel to Bill Paxton’s 1996 film Twister. The film’s story comes from Top Gun: Maverick director Joseph Kosinski. The film explores a group of storm chasers in Oklahoma as they try to stop a destructive tornado.
Powell plays Tyler Owens opposite Daisy Edgar-Jones, who plays Kate Carter. Both actors have been promoting the film at various events and appeared on the Hot Ones for a one-on-one wing-eating contest. By the end of the show, Powell and Edgar-Jones had tears coming out of their eyes from all the hot wings they ate.
Toward the end of their game, Powell had to putt a golf ball to win the game against Edgar-Jones. She tried to distract him, by throwing the best insults she could come up with at her co-star. One of her insults, which she had a difficult time putting together, said, “You capybara-looking piece of sh*t”. Fans were in splits after the insult managed even to surprise Powell and make him laugh.
When the clip was shared on Instagram, fans commented on Edgar-Jones’ funny insult. One fan shared that she put her whole soul into the insult and when she got it out, it was like her soul died. Glen Powell and Daisy Edgar-Jones took their film’s promotion to the annual Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project Block Party. They pulled a marketing stunt at the event when both of them entered a Twisters wind machine, a narrow and tight chamber that gave them the feeling of being stuck in a tornado.

The film had some crazy marketing among fans, with Powell’s Top Gun co-star Tom Cruise personally appearing at the premiere of the film. This one star appearance alone created enough hype for the film. According to Rotten Tomatoes, the film has a 78% Tomatometer score and a 93% audience score, clearly suggesting that it will remain in theaters for a few more weeks.
