One of Hollywood’s most notable stars, Jennifer Lawrence is known for her peculiar sense of humor. Apart from being the highest-grossing action heroine in Hollywood, with a record in the Guinness World Records, she has also won multiple ‘Entertainer of the Year’ awards for her candor and charismatic persona. Lawrence asserts the same demeanor towards her friends and co-stars.
Therefore, after her former co-star Robert De Niro became a father to his seventh child, the Red Sparrow actress sent him the most unusual gift that left fans baffled. Opening up about the present in an interview, Lawrence explained the idea behind it.
Jennifer Lawrence did Robert De Niro a favor
The 33-year-old actress appeared in a now-deleted interview with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen in June 2023. Months after her Silver Linings Playbook co-star was in the news for being a father again, members of the audience inquired about Lawrence’s gift to De Niro. Recalling her kind gesture to the Goodfellas actor, Jennifer Lawrence said,
“I did one better, I sent over a baby nurse. I did. I’m really happy for him…Of course, a night’s sleep? Yeah.”
Cohen and the audience were surprised, but also impressed by Lawrence’s thoughtful gesture, allowing De Niro a good night’s sleep while her baby nurse took care of the baby. The stars have worked on two films Silver Linings Playbook and Joy, and have maintained their friendship throughout the years.
Robert De Niro welcomed his seventh child in April, with his current girlfriend Tiffany Chen. The 80-year-old actor announced the birth of his baby girl Gia after an interviewer incorrectly pointed out his six kids, per ET Canada.
Jennifer Lawrence’s brutal advice to Robert De Niro
This Sunday marked the prime affair of the 2024 Golden Globes taking place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The venue brimming with notable celebrities in their shining attires, E! News caught hold of Jennifer Lawrence, donning an iconic black dress. Candidly chatting, she revealed hilarious details about her 2019 wedding with art dealer and husband Cooke Maroney.
Lawrence deemed her wedding as “awful” and was worried about her guests freezing in the cold. She expressed her distress to Keltie Knight of E! News and said,
“My mom was like, ‘It’s freezing out there, your grandmother almost died.”
Furthermore, she spotted her friend and actor Robert De Niro wandering around alone. Concerned, Lawrence went up to him and asked him to go home. She recalled,
“So I went over and whispered, I was like, ‘Go home’ and he was nice—he like talked to my parents and was polite—but I was like, ‘Go.’”
And, he left. The series of events quite clearly paints the picture of the special and unique bond the Hollywood stars share. Lawrence was nominated for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Musical or Comedy for No Hard Feelings at the Golden Globes.
