Hiddleston’s Loki Laufeyson may appear as the variant known as Avenger Prime. This variant commands all of the Multiversal Avengers from the God Quarry. It makes a lot of sense for this variant to appear in the film and direct the overall MCU story towards the Multiverse Saga finale.

Tom Hiddleston recently appeared at the ComFest being held in Kuwait and talked about his MCU role in depth. During the conversation with fans, he was asked about his potential appearance in the upcoming film, Deadpool & Wolverine.

Hiddleston, as usual, was very cryptic with his response as he shared that he was not allowed to tell them and that Marvel was protective of their information. Hiddleston shared (via @PhaseZeroCB):

“I might not be allowed to tell you. I truly don’t know. Marvel are correctly protective of their information so that when you go to the movie for the first time, the surprises jump out of the screen.”

One fan, @austin_medz, has a Loki variant theory that supports his potential appearance in the film. The fan mentioned that Loki would appear as his Avenger Prime variant in the film. This variant was a pure villain until he wiped out his entire universe, later got lonely, and committed suicide. He woke up in the God Quarry, which summoned Avengers from all over the Multiverse.

The Avenger Prime Loki realized that it was his duty to gather the mightiest Avengers in the Multiverse and command them against evil to repent for his mistakes. In the God Quarry, he was assisted by Deathloks, lost souls who fell into the Quarry. They were tasked with protecting all space and time.

How Does Tom Hiddleston’s Avenger Prime Loki Fit Into The MCU Future?

The fan suggests that Ryan Reynolds‘ Deadpool and Hugh Jackman‘s Wolverine will be two of the Avengers that the God Quarry assemble. They are the anchors or the prime heroes in the Multiversal Avengers team formed by this Avenger Prime Loki. This Loki also monitors timestream, which has pushed him into conflict with Kang the Conqueror in the comics. It appears that if Avenger Prime were to appear in the films, he would play a crucial role against Kang.

While the Avenger Prime Loki has the same powers and abilities as the Earth-616 Loki, he has defeated far more powerful enemies as the supervisor of the Multiversal Avengers. He has defeated and killed many variants of the multiversal villains, Mephisto and Doctor Doom.

He has also beaten some of the most famous Marvel villains, including Galactus, an Infinity Gauntlet-wielding Thanos, a Cosmic Cube-wielding Red Skull, and Gorr the God Butcher. His encounters with Doctor Doom and Galactus also mean that he can be tied into the MCU’s The Fantastic Four storyline too.

Fans look forward to his potential appearance in Deadpool & Wolverine, which will hit theaters on July 26, 2024.
