Apart from her thriving career as an actress and filmmaker, she is also a mother to six kids. The actress is a very proud mother, and her kids are her top priority. In an interview with People, she revealed that she once decided to give up her professional life after her kids reach a certain age.
Angelina Jolie once planned to leave her acting career
In 2012, the Salt actress was not very sure if she would be able to act while raising her six kids. She shared that she might leave acting after her kids reached their teenage years. She also said that she felt satisfied and fulfilled with her career. She told Channel 4,
“I think I’m going to have to give up the acting as the kids hit the teenage years, anyway. Too much to manage at home.”
She added that she will do some movies, and feels lucky to be in this profession as well as enjoy it. Angelina Jolie added that she will be fine even if she had to give it up and would be happy at home with her children.
Angelina Jolie’s expectations about her kids’ future
The actress shared in the interview that she is amazed the kids have been shaped by each other. She added that they are pretty great people, saying,
“It’s not like I’m the head of anything. I’m very honest with my kids. And I’m very human with my kids.”
She revealed that all her kids were their unique individuals with unique passions and interests. Jolie shared that she expects her kids would live around the world and she would spend her days traveling from one place to another. The A Mighty Heart actress believes that some of her kids will follow her humanitarian efforts.
