Why was Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD Canceled?

Agents of SHIELD is one of the most entertaining shows, with a unique approach to expanding the MCU with some new and old faces. After the massive success of The Avengers, Marvel Studios was looking for unique content and as a result, the show was created. The show got better as it continued because gradually it distanced itself from the MCU, and some analytics even showed that the show became more popular than the mainstream MCU series being streamed on Netflix.

While ABC decided to cancel the show after the fourth season, they were asked to renew it for its fifth season by Disney, as it would have collided with Avengers: Infinity War, and the writers of the show would have given a better ending to the show, justifying the title of “The End”. However, ABC decided to continue the show for two more seasons, leading to more problems.
