Welp, DC is at it again. With plans to make the situations even more chaotic and bring back embarrassing memories, Shazam star Zachary Levi has a great plan. People may remember a timid Ryan Reynolds starring in a 2011 DC movie called Green Lantern. Well, Levi wants to bring the actor back for the same role but this time with more…Shazam!

With Ryan Reynolds in the mix, people are worried that the already-expected failure Shazam! Fury of the Gods will become a laughingstock. With DCU’s lineup on the line, fans surely hope that the worlds do not collide and that Ryan Reynolds stays out of the mix of DC and Zachary Levi’s ideas.

Shazam Will Collide With Ryan Reynold’s Green Lantern

Out of the corner of his heart, Zachary Levi wants to give another shot to Ryan Reynolds for the role of Green Lantern aka Hal Jordan. Fans may recall the Deadpool actor starring in a green suit with the power of the ring in the 2011 movie.

Green Lantern has been considered one of the worst movies ever made. Not only was the movie bad but it left a scar on Ryan Reynold’s professional acting career. With fans expecting Zachary Levi to follow the same path, people feel nothing but fear for the lineup of the DCU projects if Shazam! Fury of the Gods was to fail somehow (which the people already think). In a Twitter post, there are alleged remarks from actor Zachary Levi that he wants the people to give the Free Guy actor another shot at Green Lantern.

The people were quick to discuss the possibilities of Levi’s words. With extremists on both sides, the movie either would be an incredible hit or the end of DC.

Considering Ryan Reynolds’ movie, the risky move seems a bad idea for business since Zachary Levi has found enough trouble for himself already. With the canceled projects over at DC, the Shazam! actor found himself defending James Gunn and Peter Safran after the overhaul at DC.

After the removal of Henry Cavill as Superman and the cancelation of Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam, DC was looking for ways to reinvent itself. The people were quick to attack James Gunn and Peter Safran for sabotaging the DCU but Zachary Levi took a stand for his movie. With claims that Shazam! Fury of the Gods was in a pretty good position, Levi’s hopes turned to reality as the project did not get axed.

“I would just say be patient and give them [Gunn and Safran] some space and some time to try and really make something special. Listen, I have no idea what ultimately is going to happen to me. I think I’m in a pretty good position, I think we made a great movie, I think it’s going to do well — reasonably well, I hope so. But again, regardless of that, if they decide at some point that this is the way we gotta go — them’s the breaks, that’s how it goes.”

With director David F. Sandberg helming the project as the director, Shazam! Fury of the Gods is set for a release date of 17th March 2023 in theaters across the world.
