Jacob Elordi, known for starring in the hit HBO drama Euphoria and critically acclaimed films like Priscilla and Saltburn, has shared that he is not too proud of his initial work. During a recent interview with GQ, the actor shared his despise for The Kissing Booth movies that made him a teen heartthrob.

“I didn’t want to make those movies before I made those movies,” the 26-year-old actor said before adding, “Those movies are ridiculous. They’re not universal. They’re an escape.” However, his co-stars, Joey King and Taylor Zakhar Perez, do not have the same thoughts as him.

King, who starred alongside Elordi in the film series, responded to the criticism at the Balenciaga fashion show in Los Angeles. In a conversation with Variety, the Bullet Train actress said, “I think it’s unfortunate anyone would feel that way.”
