Robert Pattinson is known for his massive fan following which he gained overnight due to the immense success of his Twilight saga. The film series began in 2008 which was when the actor was exposed to sudden superstardom. Though it was not something he was unaware of, the intensity rather bothered the actor.

While many might know him for his vampire teeth and red contact lenses, he also appeared alongside Daniel Radcliffe in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. The former was portraying the role of Cedric Diggory in the massive film franchise. Though his appearance in the Harry Potter series gave him quite a recognition, it was nothing in front of the stardom he got in Twilight.

The 33-year-old actor, Daniel Radcliffe is no stranger to stardom as he gained massive recognition as a child when he played the titular role in the Harry Potter series. Having handled such a scenario during his peak, he knew how it would have bothered his co-star.

The Horns actor opened up about how his stardom was very different from the sudden wave of fame, Robert Pattinson was exposed to when Twilight became public.

In a 2011 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the former shared,

“I think he’s had to do with kind of a lot more.” 

He explained that his fame was different from Pattinson’s. Radcliffe filmed two movies back to back almost so he was unaware of the fame explosion which happened when the film “was going massive outside.”

“Where as Rob, [he] was suddenly the most famous guy in the world. I think that’s a lot harder to deal with.”

Not just Radcliffe, but Pattinson himself admitted feeling uncomfortable with the sudden stardom.

The 36-year-old actor back in 2019 addressed his stardom while he was preparing to be the next Bruce Wayne aka Batman in the famous franchise.

Talking to E! News, he shared that he did not want to witness the scrutiny he faced when he played Edward Cullen in the $3.4 billion film franchise.

“There’s a part of me that just thinks it’s impossible to be what happened with Twilight because it was so sudden.”

In another interview with Esquire UK, he addressed the extreme stardom back then as “insane.” He further opened up about being unable to comprehend how he suddenly garnered extreme attention from the fans. From lack of privacy to fans screaming which was quite a struggle for him.
