Every time Smith has appeared on a red carpet, his outfits have spoken louder than he has. The Life In a Year actor and his sister Willow Smith launched a clothing line named Msftsrep in the year 2015. The actor has been very vocal about how he wants to send a message through his clothes to the people out there. When Will Smith’s son was seated for an interview with GQ, Smith talked about the impact he would like to make on people. The Karate Kid actor said,

“I want to make an impact on the people who see Msftsrep on the street and get them thinking about our existence as human beings. I’m the kid that watches videos about things that happened before us, I’m hooked on the Roman age, ancient civilizations, and I think we’ve lost ourselves when it comes to education and I want my brand to really show people what is out there in the world, beyond our phones and what we’re being drip fed.” 

The After Earth actor was photographed wearing women’s clothing for the Louis Vuitton campaign. Although many people criticized him on the internet for his fashion choices, the actor remained unfazed.

“I’m all about this mindset of ‘hey, this is what we believe in’, and I don’t want to follow anyone down a rabbit hole. Everybody should want to dress their own avatar in what they want, and once you’ve realized your individual style it just comes as part of your own existence.”
