One of the longest-running couples in Hollywood is Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne. Although the two have known each other for 52 years and have been married for 40 of them, that doesn’t mean everything has been smooth sailing. The couple has had some very big highs and lows, and surprisingly, they’ve always been very vocal about it. Thus, one such moment in their lives was Ozzy Osbourne’s affair with his hairdresser.
Sharon Osbourne Almost Took Her Own Life Due to Ozzy Osbourne’s Affair
Recently, while speaking at a London theatre show on Sunday night on stage with friend Jane Moore, the very popular television personality, Sharon Osbourne revealed a very shocking revelation that would send chills down someone’s spine. The Black Sabbath lead singer’s wife claimed she nearly took her own life when Ozzy Osbourne had an affair with a hairdresser named Michelle Pugh, which seemingly went on from 2012 to 2016.
She explained her situation by saying (via The Sun),
“He always, always had groupies and I was so used to that. But when he knows the name of the person, where they live and where they work. It is a whole different thing as you are emotionally invested. I took, I don’t know how many pills. I just thought, ‘My kids are older; they are fine and can take care of themselves.’So I took an overdose and locked myself in the bedroom. The maid tried to come in to clean room and saw me.”
Now, although many reports claimed that the pair separated in 2016, there was no concrete proof of the matter. To put the matter to rest once and for all, the couple renewed their wedding vows in 2017. Speaking to Hello magazine days after, the Black Sabbath singer stated,
“For me, this was actually our real wedding day. This is the one that I will remember,–Sharon and I have been through so much, and this honestly feels like a new beginning.I made a huge mistake. Without Sharon, I am nothing. I love her. I can honestly say that I have never loved anybody other than my wife.”
Since then, the pair has been stronger than ever, and by the looks of it, Sharon Osbourne cannot stop adoring and singing praises of her husband whenever she can be it on Instagram or in interviews.
Ozzy Osbourne Expresses Regret Over Affair
Most recently, in a 2020 interview with British GQ, the singer opened up about how he really felt, expressing remorse for betraying his wife in such a way. He said,
“I’ve done some pretty outrageous things in my life. I regret cheating on my wife. I don’t do it anymore, I got my reality check and I’m lucky she didn’t leave me. I’m not proud of that. I was pissed off with myself. But I broke her heart.”
But turns out, his affair with the hairdresser wasn’t the only one. While speaking to The Telegraph in 2017, Sharon Osbourne revealed,
“Some Russian teenager, then a masseuse in England, our masseuse [in the U.S.] and then our cook,–He had women in different countries. Basically, if you’re a woman giving Ozzy either a back rub or a trolley of food, God help you.”
The singer also addressed the situation as soon as news of his affair broke in 2016, making a statement to ABC News by saying,
“Over the last six years, I have been dealing with a s-x addiction,–I have gone into intense therapy. I am mortified at what my behavior has done to my family,–I thank God that my incredible wife is at my side to support me.”
Since then, the couple claims their love has been stronger than ever, and the two are glad they could face the test of time.
