Tom Cruise has been filming movies and exploring the countryside in Britain. In an interview with Mirror UK, he even revealed that he is an “Anglophile,” meaning he loves everything about British culture, from the friendly locals to the beautiful scenery. He also appreciates the blend of old and new, which he finds unique to Britain.

“I guess I am an Anglophile. I spend a lot of time in Britain and that’s not just for work reasons. I just love being here. It’s a fantastic blend of old and new. I love seeing the sights, the Tower of London, Nelson’s Column, Buckingham Palace and all those fantastic places which are just full of history. Britain is trendy, too, and has a lot that other countries then copy. I also love the British countryside.”

“It is breathtaking and I found myself wanting to explore more and more. That’s the reason I have made a few other visits in my own time that have nothing to do with work. Everyone is pleasant and will give you a nod or say hello without crowding you. I was brought up to be well-mannered and you really get that in Britain.

Off-screen, he has earned a reputation for the same level of professionalism and politeness that he displays on-screen. The actor has always been a dedicated professional who values hard work. Also

Even David Beckham, Gordon Ramsay, and James Corden were among the guests for his 60th birthday party at Soho Farmhouse in the Cotswolds.

The father of 3 frequently visits his daughter Isabella and her British spouse in the UK. Cruise also says that residents of Derbyshire warmly welcomed the cast and crew of his upcoming Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning film, even though filming can be very disruptive for locals due to road closures.

Tom Cruise tries to be approachable and helpful on set and is reluctant to draw attention to himself. He does not let trash on the floor go unattended and will always pick it up himself. He praises the Derbyshire community, from the government to the locals he worked with on his most recent film.
