Tom Holland who is famous for Spider-Man films is heartbroken over Gwyneth Paltrow’s behavior and carelessness. In a trivia game on PopSugar alongside Spider-Man: Far From Home co-stars Zendaya and Jacob Batalon, he expressed how heartbroken he was when Gwyneth Paltrow completely forgot about acting in his stand-alone film Spider-Man: Homecoming.
The trio was interviewing to promote their film Spider-Man: Far From Home, and Tom Holland’s response was in regard to a 2019 interview clip that went viral. It has Gwyneth Paltrow deny working with Holland.
Gwyneth Paltrow does not remember working with Tom Holland
On the PopSugar quiz when Holland was asked about his experience of working with Paltrow, he added a dramatic flair to his answer,
“I mean, I’ve only worked with Gwyneth one time, on Spider-Man: Homecoming, which she doesn’t remember. Which still to this day breaks my heart,”
The interview Holland is referring to is The Chef Show hosted by Jon Favreau. Paltrow was on the show to promote Iron Man 3. Gwyneth Paltrow engaged in a fun cooking and simultaneous interview with Iron Man co-star Jon Favreau in 2019. On the show, she was asked to comment on her experience working with Tom Holland but the actress was utterly shocked.
From her reaction, it was clear she has no recollection of working with the actor whatsoever. The host then reminded her of the film they both worked on together.
We do need to consider two things here, Gwyneth Paltrow’s cameo in Spider-Man: Homecoming is remarkably short. It scarcely offers her any screen time. Additionally, the second reason is that most often Marvel actors are not privy to movie details sometimes they do not even know the name of the film they are shooting for.
Tom Holland too forgot working with Gwyneth Paltrow
Gwyneth Paltrow is not the only one with fuzzy memories, Holland is equally guilty. Holland said he has only worked with her once but in truth, he has also worked with her in Avengers: End Game. The Homecoming actor has a lapse until finally, he realizes that it is not true, Holland jumps to add,
“No, actually no, that’s not true. One time when we were shooting [Avengers] Endgame, she was in her blue suit, and I was in my Spider-Man suit. She came up and asked me for a photo with me and Robert [Downey Jr]. And I think she posted it and she said, ‘Robert Downey Jr. and myself and this guy.’ I was just the guy. It was cute.”
There is likely to be a fourth film in the Homecoming series details of which remain beyond anyone’s knowledge. It will star Tom Holland as Spider-Man and Zendaya will continue to play his love interest.
