The Princess Diaries star revealed, “I’ve now done backflips out of windows. I’ve jumped off buildings. And cutting my hair reduced me to like mental patient-level crying. I was inconsolable.”

After the birth of Cosette, the infant she sends the baby to the opportunistic Thénardier family, who agrees to care for the child on Fantine’s earnings.
Having a kid before wedlock leads Fantine to lose her job while she turns to odd survival techniques to support her child. After selling her teeth and hair she finally turns to sexual favours.
The movie, with a $61 million budget, managed to earn $441 million worldwide and garnered positive reviews. Hathaway went on to win Oscar for her performance in the film.
