With Anderson gaining fame uncountable for her role as Casey Jean Parker in the 1989 series Baywatch and Tommy Lee Jones in his movies, their s*x tape was leaked to the public which drew quite some eyes onto the couple. In an interview with The Guardian, Lily James talked about the role of Pamela Anderson and how difficult it was for her.
During the interview, she was asked whether she was a fan of Pamela Anderson during the Baywatch era and James replied affirmatively.
“No, I was Pam through and through. I’ve never felt more nervous about a project, but I’m excited too. I want to keep pushing and stretching myself.”
The interviewer and Lily James further talked about the intricate role of Pamela Anderson and how she had to don several wigs for the actress to sit in the role.
Lily James Had To Don Multiple Wigs
As the interview progressed further, the interviewer asked Lily James why her hair hadn’t been dyed blonde. James reported to The Guardian that she had been experimenting with wigs and that to get into the role of Pamela Anderson, James had to sit for 4 hours for the makeup to be applied.
“I’ve been experimenting with wigs of late. Mixing it up. There really is something different about being blond. I remember that from back in my Cinderella days.”
The reports state that Lily James had to wear multiple prosthetic wigs, a prosthetic forehead piece, fake eyelashes, fake b*easts, and blue contact lenses. It was all worth it since Pam & Tommy received a rating of 7.3/10 on IMDB and 78% on Rotten Tomatoes. The 2022 miniseries is available to stream on Hulu in the U.S.
