In an interview with Den of Geek, he shared about being asked whether he is planning to be the next action star just like the former.

“I got asked the other day, did you always want to be the next Schwarzenegger? And I thought that’s what you’ve got from what I’ve done?”

He addressed the same by showing his displease due to being compared to the former.

“I was really disappointed, like I thought, you know, that I’d chosen these scripts and loved them because they had real actors in them and real story and heart, and sometimes with films the action overshadows anything else.”

As per the Marvel star, his films are a mixture of several genres that not only focuses on action but also several other elements. As per him, pure action films would overshadow other elements which is what he thinks is different in his work.

While he has started to emerge as an action star, the 39-year-old actor in an interview opened up that he never planned to become one. On being asked about the transition he did from soap-opera heartthrob to an action star in Interview, he replied,

“As a kid, I loved any fantasy. I grew up in a household with two brothers and we lived in the bush. We were constantly building weapons and forts and things. But I didn’t set out to be an action hero.”

While his action sequences are much visible in his other projects as well in Marvel, the actor is taking a slow approach in the acting field since learning about his medical condition. Hemsworth has a significantly high risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease, which he learned while filming for Limitless.
