Acting is a heavily demanding endeavor. One is faced with various kinds of challenges. Millie Bobby Brown’s Damsel is the dynamic tale of a princess rising from the deep end and taking revenge on those who did her wrong. The film is filled with action and drama. And involves a good amount of stunts and action sequences.

However, one scene was particularly difficult for the Enola Holmes actress to perform in. Promoting the film at The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, the 20-year-old actress was asked if there were any stunts that she would deny doing. To which she responded:

“I am claustrophobic so I say no to anything, that are in tight spaces, I have to say no. And sure enough when I read that script…there was a lot. There was like one specific thing where I was basically crawling through a cave but it was the size of an air conditioning vent. And I was going through it and I said I can’t do it.”

Facing fears is hard for anyone but Millie Bobby Brown found her way around this one. She took on the challenge in true Eleven style.

The Enola Holmes actress told Jimmy Fallon how they asked her to try to do the scene again when she went back on the set the following week. She humored them. However, this time, she had her fiance and her assistant holding her feet so that she felt a little less scared. She further added:

“And then the director’s on the other side giving me positive affirmations. He was like ‘You’re doing great, Millie’. And I was like- thank you, sobbing crying. So when you see this scene in the movie- it was all real I wasn’t acting.”

Either way, Brown managed to get the scene done. With an average rating of 5.4 on Rotten Tomatoes, the dark fantasy film has premiered on Netflix to mixed reviews

Damsel is available for streaming on Netflix.
