Sweeney was also part of Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time… In Hollywood, where she played a character named Snake. It is quite interesting to find out, however, that when the actress was cast in the movie, she was not allowed to talk about it, despite the fact that there were rumors going around that she was having an affair with her co-star, Brad Pitt, even if they were debunked early on.

Sweeney went on to explain that she went through a rigorous audition process to be able to be part of the film, which started with her auditioning for a generic role, then being invited to a workshop where Tarantino had selected a number of roles for her, including the character of Snake. She then went on to explain what exactly happened at this workshop, stating that she and a few more actors were asked to come to Tarantino’s office, where they had a six-hour-long workshop that consisted of chemistry reads with different actors and the director intervening and making them switch from one person to another, also having lunch together. Sweeney mentioned that she felt completely content with herself, adding that it was experiences like this that made her love the film industry as much as she did.

Sydney Sweeney Couldn’t Talk About Being Cast in the Quentin Tarantino Movie

Sydney Sweeney ultimately found out that she got the role in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time… In Hollywood, in the most unconventional of ways. The actress ended up running into the casting director of the film at a party, the same night as her callback. Here, she was told that she had gotten the role she so desperately wanted, however, there was one requirement on her part as soon as she joined the cast of the film.

“What sucked was I wasn’t allowed to say anything until the press release came out, which wasn’t until August,” Sweeney explained. “And I booked it the first week in June.”

Sweeney was not only not allowed to talk about her role in the film, but the film itself for two entire months. The reason for this was the fact that the movie had not been announced to the public until August of that year through a press release and Sweeney was officially signed onto the project in June.
